All ladies get into position at the dance floor where the bride would toss her bouquet and the one who gets it is blessed. The relevance here arises from century old tradition as a sign for good fortune for the one who catches it. Era ago touching or getting a part of the bride was considered as good luck and this would lead to tearing or cutting her veil or dress. Thus to prevent any of these damages the tradition of tossing the bouquet came in. This was also believed to get romantic luck for the future.

Lemuria paid tribute to the dead and so courting a souse while celebrating the deceased meant a sign of evil or just being unlucky.
