Eye make-up is very important for overall style and beauty. Eyes are the first thing anyone will notice in an individual, so the make around the eyes needs to be prim and proper. Eye makeup tips for beginners are to give you insights into how to get the perfect eyes, which make-up can enrich and enhance the beauty of the eyes. Eyes are very sensitive and vulnerable area on our face, so the makeup around eyes must be proceeded with utmost caution.

The more you can glam up your eyes in a healthy and efficient way, the better style addition to your persona. The first and foremost part is to identify and select cosmetics for your eye makeup. Try to select as natural and organic products as possible; you don’t want to see dark circles and wrinkles too soon.

Some precautions before proceeding with the eye makeup tips for beginners:

  • Choose home based or natural cosmetics
  • If you have dark circles or under eye lines, then first treat them
  • Do not use too many chemical based products
  • Before makeup wash your face clean and apply moisturizer
  • Have a healthy diet, stay fit and take good night’s sleep, this reflects in your eyes.

Eye Makeup Tips for beginners

1Foundation

First apply compact or foundation on entire face, including eyes. Try to cover each area over eye lid and under eyes with utmost finesse. As the left out dark patches in between look bad. Use a cotton pad to wipe the face and settle the extra base fine.

2Highlighter

For areas under eyebrow, apply a highlighter to give a perfect shape to the brows and enhance the eye lids around. Use a highlighter pencil to proceed initially. Use cotton swab to rub it settle smooth.

3Eyeliner

The next most important step is applying eyeliner. You can use pencil, liquid or gel based depending on your comfort and perfection. It is easy to begin with eyeliner pencil as less chances of smudging. Follow the below steps:

  • Sit with a mirror right in front of your eyes
  • Now tilt your face such that you don’t have to close your eyes to apply liner, but at the same time you can see the eyes in the mirror too.
  • Using the eyeliner pencil, from the inner corner mark a line over the eyelashes pointing out
  • Take the line little beyond the outer corner
  • Make it sharp out a bit
  • Now darken the eyeliner as per your choice
  • Remember the liner has to make an inverted C from inner corner to outer.
  • If using a liquid liner first make a row of dashes and then apply a dark coat in second hand

4Lower eyelid

For lower eye lid use a white or nude eye pencil to make your eyes look bigger. From inner point to outer make line from the pencil. If you put black color here the eyes will look small

5Eye Shadow

First apply eye shadow base to highlight the area. If base has white or shimmer the eye shadow effects will be awesome. Use the light skin tone color from your selection. And apply with a brush carefully. For a smokier chick look, use darker shades like green, blue or brown. Now use eye shadow with a suitable rush.

Applying medium

Applying medium pressure in the middle and little touch outwards. Keep the shape of the brush alike for all the areas else it will look uneven. Apply first at the area where eyelids open to. And then spread it around evenly.

6Mascara

Mascara forms very important part for people with scanty eye lashes. Open the Mascara bottle and first dab with your fingers to remove excess of that. Now using a mascara brush from inside start applying out in an inverted C movement. Apply pressure adequately so as not to touch the skin around. Now hold the mascara vertically and for bottom eye lid apply from inside to outside in the vertical way. Be careful with the removal of waterproof mascara. 7For shimmer

For added shimmer use a dark colored eyeliner and using brush apply it very carefully over the eyes. Just above the original eyeliner. Try and use shades that contrast or match the outfits.

8Fixing

Use a white or a nude eye liner pencil to conceal the areas where smudging has occurred. This will also give a definite shape to the makeup we just did.

9Final touch up

Now with a Q tip, just lightly roll over the eyelids and the areas away from mascara. To settle the extra spots you may have made.

Some Important notes

  • Do not put dark shades if you have a dusky skin tone
  • Apply shimmer for a more formal look for evening gowns
  • For regular makeup use pastel or nude shades
  • Use false eye lashes for extra attention to lashes
  • Use a great makeup remover. If the makeup is not removed properly lines and wrinkles may come up too soon.
